Short Review: I own several of these inverter generators from various different brands.. I charge them via solar (see tips below about saving the laptop tips for solar charging), and then I use them while camping and other activities outdoors. 170watt hours is a lot of power, especially if used only to charge phones and stuff! This should charge a powerful smartphone around 50 times and probably more!
Use: I needed something in between the size of my yeti 400 lithium and my goal zero Sherpa 100.. this fits the bill perfectly!
1.) USB String Lights – Great camping accessory! I used Goal Zero lights. Worked great
2.) Microsoft Surface – Worked great and more than doubled the battery on my Surface
3.) Huawei Mate 9 – Charged 10 times and still had a ton of juice
4.) iPhone 6 – charged 10 time after charging the mate 9.. Still had tons of juice..
5.) 6 can mini fridge – Works Great
6.) Charged the NTONPOWER with my 100watt goal zero solar panel
Notes: This does not provide enough power for a coffee pot or anything like that
1.) Metal Body, built very well
2.) Easy to read LCD display
3.) Rubber waterproof protector for plugs
4.) Built in light
5.) Can charge multiple items at once
1.) Be sure to unscrew the outlet and connect it to the battery bank. It ships unplugged!
2.) You can use the laptop adapters to plug a goal Zero panel into this battery bank using the regular input instead of the solar input
3.) This battery pack cannot be carried on a plane.. you need one under 100 watt hours for that
Overall: after one trip and several test I am impressed with this battery pack. So far it’s working well! I have several other trips planned so I’ll continue to update if I have any issues
Short Review: Excellent DEVICE, especially with the inverter (Sold separately so grab it as well).. Simply one of the best power banks on the market! This will charge my Huawei Mate 9 over 10 times from the USB ports.. It will charge my 2 DJI Spark batteries at least once each using the inverter, it will charge my Surface Pro 4 fully at least once!! There is a lot of power in this!
Tips: You can’t think of this as a powerbank with the typical mAH ratings we see all over Amazon.. You need to know how Watt Hours work and know that this is nearly a 100WH device!! (Meaning it can power 100 watts for about 1 hour)
Tips 2: If you are trying to power a coffee pot, this WONT WORK.. Go for a Goal Zero Yeti 400 or higher.. You need more power for those!!
Tips 3: If you just plan on charging your cell phone while waiting on a bus, grab a cheap power bank and not this.. Save money.. THIS IS FOR OUTDOOR USE or people who need more power than your cheapo battery brick will offer..
1.) Can be carried on a plane
2.) Lithium (meaning it holds its charge for months)
3.) Includes laptop cables and more are available from Goal Zero
4.) Buy the inverter and this thing can produce 100 WATTS of power!!
5.) Small, easy to carry
6.) Uses are ENDLESS – Laptops, Drone Batteries, Cell Phones, Lights, pretty much anything
7.) Quality is outstanding
8.) Can be chained (linked) with other Sherpas for even more power
9.) Easy to charge VIA Goal Zero solar panels (Remember solar panels can convert energy but you need a way to store it.. This works VERY WELL)
10.) 98WH (Basically this means that this device can provide about 100 watts of power for 1 hour!)
Overall: This thing rocks! It works well and is very high quality!
Short Review: Wonderful Solar CHARGER that will quickly charge 3 devices at once.. I quickly charged 3 battery banks with this charger today and within a few hours all where 100% charged.. One of the battery banks is a Goal Zero Venture 30 which is a 7800mAH battery bank. Another is the Griffin Outdoor 10,000mAH battery bank and the smaller one is just an inexpensive 2500mAH bank.. On a sunny day in TN, this charger had no issues fully charging all the banks AT THE SAME TIME in under 5 hours.
Tips: Before I get into the rest of the review, let me share a few “Solar” “Tips” with you
1.) While you can charge your devices such as phones and tablets from the solar panel itself, I recommend charging power storage devices like I did in the photos.. Two reasons for this.. Depending on external factors, this charger might not always offer enough power to charge your high usage device.. And second, its not good for your phones to stay in the sun all day
2.) Remember, weather (Even on sunny days), time of day, location, and other factors will affect output wattage.. I always recommend that a buyer only expect a charger to charge with ON AVERAGE half its capacity.. So with this charger, I expect it to average 12 watts on good days. I have received as much as 18 watts from this charger but it does only average 12 watts but that is standard!
1.) Very HIGH output! – I average at least 12 watts out of this charger but have hit as many as 18 watts.. This is fine and is actually EXCELLENT from a charger of this size! Don’t expect 24Ws all the time, it will never happen even with $1,000 chargers
2.) Wonderful BUILD Quality
3.) 3 USB ports – Most of these chargers on the market only have 2 ports
4.) RACPower offers excellent support
5.) The pouch that houses the USB ports seems to be waterproof – It has a DWP coating on the inside!! Excellent
6.) Simple to use
Overall: Great charger!! I love it and highly recommend it!
I really enjoy this panel! Very durable and wonderful output
Example: One day I was cleaning my panel inside.. I noticed the “power light” was on.. I measured it’s output and I was receiving 13 Watts inside my apartment from the sun shining through the windows! Outside on a good day I average about 45 – 50watts and it has peaked at 62 Watts.
Tips: Remember, a 100watt solar panel will probably never hit 100watts! Atmosphere, weather conditions, time of day, and even the length of your cord all affect the output of a panel.. a good panel, you can expect about 50% of it’s output on average.
2.) Works well with Goal Zero Yetis
3.) Excellent Output
4.) Long cable (about 6ft)
5.) Extension Cables available (keep in mind, the Goal Zero brand cables lose about 1% output per ft)
1.) Price – However, I own several 80 – 100 Watt panels and the Goal Zero is built better than any of them! Plus, it is full of technology and great American support.. A lot of my other panels have Chinese support and while there is nothing wrong with that, I simply can’t pick up a phone and call.. With Goal Zero you can
Overall: Great Panel, I highly recommend it
1.) This is designed to charge battery generators or other power packs.. Works much better if you do! I can charge my Yeti 150 fully in about 4 hours with this
Short Review: Excellent, Rugged, and AMAZING speaker that doubles as a power bank! 100% waterproof. Amazing Sound! Great price! I purchased this after owning the mini which is also awesome, but what are the differences?
1.) This one is waterproof, the mini barricade isn’t. It’s only water resistant
2.) This one has a 10watt speaker meaning louder and deeper bass and better sound quality overall
3.) The mini does NOT double as a power bank, this one does
4.) The mini does not have a microphone, but this one does
Both are very well built and durable. My mini goes backpacking with me and places when I don’t have as much space
1.) Waterproof: IPX7 meaning it can be dropped in water less than 3 FT deep for a Max of 30 minutes. So this is 100% waterproof!
2.) Battery Bank: Doubles as a battery bank so if your hiking or camping this can charge your GoPro or phone! A phone might drain most of the speakers battery but it’s a good feature
3.) Easy to Pair
4.) Best sounding speaker for this price! This puts to Shane even $100+ speakers
5.) 10 Watts meaning plenty of sound and bass
6.) Skullcandy Quality and Support which is awesome! Anytime I have had issues, I just send them the speaker or headphones (whatever failed) and they just give me a full value gift card for their site! You can opt for an exchange but I just opt for the gift card.. I have only needed this option twice and both times where on headphones older than 4 years old so yeah their warranty rocks (keep in mind, Bluetooth devices do have a shorter warranty)
Overall! Simply awesome speaker!
Short Review: One of the 80Watt panels on the market!! I own several Goal Zero products, and several solar products in general.. Right now the Goal Zero 100W folding panel is just way to much (About $800) so I decided to try a few of these 80W generic ones.. I went with a cheaper brand as well but it didn’t really perform much better than most of my 20W panels.. With this Sunkingdom panel I can average 40+ watts even when the sun isn’t at it’s fullest! On a very beautiful sunny day I got 68watts once!! Remember, it will ALWAYS be hard to get the full wattage out of any solar panel so 68Watts is AMAZING
1.) Folds SMALL
3.) Will power my Goal Zero Yeti!
4.) Includes multiple ports
Overall: I am still testing this product a little more but right now I am very very happy with it! Out of all the 80+ watt panels I decided to try, this one is by far the best! I highly recommend it
